When Mommy Is Away...

When Mommy goes to the hospital, everyone works together to make sure I am with family as much as possible. On the weekends, I stay with Daddy and my puppies at home. Daddy takes me places, like the park, Gymboree, and the Zoo. We also go and visit Mommy some too! During the week, I stay with Cookie and Papa. When they go to work, sometimes Aunt Claire or Baboo come to visit me. Other days, I go to play with my friend John Raymond! His mommy Jennifer does lots of fun stuff with us! As much as Mommy misses me, she knows I am always in good hands. She is so thanksful to have so many people to help her take care of me! Here are some pictures of my adventures:

Daddy loves to fix me big breakfasts on the weekend! I like to have eggs, grits, oatmeal, toast, ham, lil smokies, and fruit (not all at once, of course)! And I am such a big girl now - I can eat with a fork and spoon!
Playing with Cody - he is my favorite dog and he watches out for me!!
I like sitting with Mommy in her hospital bed...
...but I prefer having it to myself.
I love hanging out at Cookie and Papa's - there is always something new to play with!!
Playing at John Raymond's house is always fun!! We like being in the pool...
...and riding in the wagon!

Father's Day Painting

Mommy had planned to get my handprints done for Daddy and my grandfathers before Father's Day. That didn't happen, but it worked out great! Daddy and Papa actually painted WITH ME on Father's Day! We all had a great time and even made a painting to bring to Mommy at the hospital!

Working on Walking!

As many of you know, I have had a little trouble with walking! At 16 months, my pediatrician, Dr. Mousa, referred me for a Physical Therapy(PT) evaluation. They said my feet were turning in a little and it made walking scary for me. The physical therapist recommended Sure Step http://www.surestep.net/braces and weekly PT sessions! It has been a long process, but I finally got my braces (with pink and purple flowers), as well as somereally cool shoes called Hatchbacks http://www.hatchbacksfootwear.com/index.htm I also got some Crocs since they work great with my braces too! I started PT sessions 2 weeks ago with Miss Nikki! She is sooo much fun and has lots of toys to help me learn to walk! I am improving every day - I should be walking all by myself in no time!! Here are some pictures of me practicing!
Standing with my braces on!!
Practicing on Cookie and Papa's stairs......and in our front yard!!
Our driveway is really steep and great for strengthing my ankles
Standing at my sand table is good for me too!
I like "working" at the splashpad...
...and walking between Cookie and Papa!

Daddy's Birthday Party - TONS of pics

Mommy wanted Daddy to have an ultra-fun birthday this year, so she rented him a GIANT blow-up Slip N' Slide. We had to postone the party for a few weeks since Mommy was in the hospital, but it was worth it! We all had a great time! Check it out!
The morning of the party - having lunch with Daddy! Right after lunch, I had to take a nap! I missed the beginning of the party, but joined in the fun later in the afternoon!
Daddy is soooo excited!
He loves it!!
So does Aunt Claire!
And Cookie
Lauren wants one for her birthday!!
Cookie shows Aunt Kim how to slide!!
Even Baboo tries it out!
I finally woke up to do some partying!!
And to show of for my fan club!!
Everyone thought I would be scared, but I thought Daddy's slide was awesome!
I kept saying "WOW
Everyone joined me on the slide!
And enjoyed watching me slide into the pool (Yes, I am doing this by choice)
So I could do some swimming!
Daddy was worn out after his party
It is a good thing he finally woke up to get his present - A NEW BIKE (with a seat for me)!
I was worn out that evening, but was still up for a few readings of my new favorite book "Go Dog Go"
After this, I can't wait to see what my birthday party is like in November!!
